Also OBM can withstand greater heat without breaking down.
Good news for drivers, as gas prices are continuing to fall during this winter season! Winter blend gasoline releases during the cold months, usually beginning in September and continuing throughout the cold season. This blend of gasoline is actually cheaper to produce, but what are the other reasons leading to the fall in prices at the gas pumps?
It’s been years since we’ve seen prices so low when filling our tanks. Many factors have brought these prices down this season. West Texas Intermediate crude oil is at it’s lowest per barrel also. Who’s to thank? You got it, it’s all of our hard working American’s in the oil industry fighting their way to freedom from dependence on foreign oil.
The blessing of fracking has caused our supplies of crude to soar higher than ever in the U.S. and when combined with the other efforts of OPEC, and the decline of drivers in the winter, we are seeing results at the pumps. Fracking with drilling fluids has increased our oil supplies to the point of dropping the price per barrel to lows not seen in a decade or more.
Fracking is a process of injecting fluid into a well at such a high pressure that it literally causes rock to crack. In short, this process happening deep underground allows natural gas, brine, and petroleum to migrate to the well. Fracking has boosted global energy markets. In the U.S. alone, crude oil output has soared to a 25-year high, lessening our dependence on foreign resources.
Rotary One Drilling fluids are used in many fracking operations across the U.S. We operate in the North Dakota Bakken Shale play. Our Denver office is serving the Rocky Mountain region, and our Permian Basin headquarters are located in Midland, Texas. In our experience, new drilling technologies and fracking has tremendously benefited America by creating energy independence and jobs with very little environmental impact.
